The easiest way to find us is to head down Rangeline Road and go west on 20th St. for about 10 blocks. We’ll be on the south side of the street at the corner of 20th and Connecticut.
20th Place Apartments offers 144 units among six buildings. The apartment buildings themselves are three stories tall. Our complex was completed in 2024 and came open for rent in Joplin shortly after construction finished.

One-Bedroom Floor Plans
At 20th Place Apartments, we have three different one-bedroom floorplans for rent in Joplin, based on your preferences. They are perfect for cozy couples.
The Zinc
Our first floor plan is called The Zinc, after Joplin’s history of zinc mining in the area, you’ll have plenty of space for your needs. This open floor plan has the kitchen next to the living room. These are 614 square feet.

You’ll find three closets for storage and the washer/dryer hookup. You can wake up to the sunshine because the balcony is near your bedroom.
The Lime
The Lime, named after the limestone quarries that still operate in town, has a slightly different arrangement. Rather than the bedroom being close to the balcony, this one has the living room and kitchen being closer to your outdoor living space. These are also 614 square feet.

The Lead
Joplin was once known for lead mining, so our third one-bedroom floor plan is called The Lead. Your living room opens directly onto the balcony with sliding glass doors, whereas the other one-bedroom floor plans have a swinging door. So, this floor plan would have more natural light.
This is the biggest of our one-bedroom floor plans at 751 square feet. The kitchen has more counter space in that it has a bar with the sink separate from the stove and refrigerator. There are two closets instead of three, but one of them is attached to the bedroom, whereas the other two are not.

Pool & Cabana
Hot summers don’t stand a chance with our pool and cabana. The lounge equipment looks like it’s straight out of a resort in the Bahamas for sun worshippers who want to get plenty of vitamin D. The resort-style pool is perfect for frolicking, water games, and family fun. This outdoor area is surrounded by a sturdy metal fence for added security.
Bring your pool items and stay safe. Please observe some simple rules, like no running, no glass containers, and no food in the pool. There is a shallow end and a deeper end, but there is no diving board. Consider this pool your relaxation spot or a place to get some exercise on hot days.
There are no overhead lights for the pool area, so please be safe when picking up your items when the sun goes down. The pool is outdoors, so it will be seasonal during the summer. But our cabana is open year-round!

Flexible Lease Terms for Our Apartments in Joplin, MO
In general, our lease terms are very flexible when it comes to the length of the lease, a pet policy, and using the premises.
Premises and Occupancy
- The landlord rents the specified apartment to the tenant for residential use.
- Only the listed occupants can reside in the apartment.
Lease Term
- We sign leases for six months, nine months, and 12 months. You’ll have flexible lease terms if you’re a student or just in town for seasonal work.
- The initial lease term starts on a specified date and ends on another specified date.
- Renewal options include month-to-month, 6-month, or 12-month terms. You’ll have flexibility if your situation changes based on your plans.
Rent and Payments
- Rent is due on the first of each month, payable by credit card or digital payment.

Fees for our Apartments in Joplin, MO
Before signing a lease with us, you’ll understand what is included when making an important decision on where to live. These are the fees you can expect with our rental agreements aside from paying monthly rent.
1. Short Term Lease Rate
An additional monthly fee for tenants opting for shorter lease terms at the current market rate. This is only if it’s different from an ordinary initial lease.
2. Pet Fees
Expect a monthly pet rent and additional fees as specified in the Pet Policy Agreement. Pet rent may change based on the size and type of pet. We are a pet-friendly place to live and want your pets to have a happy lifestyle!
3. Utilities
Tenants must pay their electric and water/sewer utility bills. Liberty Electric is the local electric company, while water and sewer are paid through the city. If you want internet or Wi-Fi or cable TV, you’ll need to have a company for that too. The internet jacks should already be in your unit. Cable jacks are already installed.
4. Maintenance Costs
If there is damage beyond normal wear and tear, tenants are responsible for the costs of maintenance and repairs. For example, your rocking chair hits a wall and creates a small hole, or your cat scratches up the corner of a door.
5. Unauthorized Tenant Charge
A fee of $300.00 per month is charged for each unauthorized person residing in the unit.
6. Non-refundable Sanitation Fee
A sanitation fee is required before occupancy. This is so we can spruce up your unit for the next tenants after you move out.
7. Security Deposit
Everyone must pay a security deposit to cover potential damages beyond normal wear and tear. If you keep your place neat and tidy, you can get your security deposit back when you move out.
8. NSF (Non-Sufficient Funds) Fee
We process all payments electronically. If we can’t process a payment through your chosen electronic payment system, you will be assessed a $25.00 fee for insufficient funds.

Paying Rent at Our Apartments in Joplin, MO
Rent is due on the first of each month. Tenants have a four-day grace period, until the 4th of the month, to pay the rent for the upcoming month. For example, July’s rent is due on July 1. If not paid by July 4, the rent is due, plus a late fee.
A late fee of $50.00 is assessed if rent is not paid in full by the 4th day of the month, plus $5.00 for each additional day until the rent is fully paid. Please pay your rent on time! We are flexible within four days of the first day of the month.
Paying rent is through our digital platform, called RentPayment. You’ll need to create an account with this portal. It’s secure, and you’ll receive a receipt upon payment. You can set up alerts with the system for email messages.
